I am the Co-Founder and COO of a disruptive automotive sales and remarketing company that is currently in the midst of a nationwide expansion. It has averaged high double-digit growth every year since its founding and was recently honored by Inc. Magazine as one of the "Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies" in the US. Prior to founding this venture I held a variety of positions in a broad range of companies and organizations including McKinsey & Co, Proctor and Gamble, General Motors, McMaster-Carr, and Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics). And I've founded and invested in several other retail and service concepts along the way.
I created this site in order to share some of the personal and professional lessons I’ve learned as well as some best-practices I’ve been able to develop and test during my experiences. I don't know everything and I don't claim to, but I certainly know a lot more than I used to, and I want to share what I’ve learned to anyone who may find it helpful.
This blog is for anyone who is in the thick of “it” whatever “it” is whether growing a company, adapting to a new role or situation, facing personal challenges, etc. and wants some outside perspective from someone else who has faced (or is facing) those same challenges. You can read it whether you want to learn or if you want to teach as I’m always open to feedback and figuring out the best possible way even if it isn’t mine.
You’ll find that most of my posts focus on operational strategy, scale, and simplifying complexity because that’s what I know best and it’s the lens through which I view most things. Occasionally, I’ll cover other topics but try to keep things relevant to the core focus and play to my strengths. If you’re interested in learning more I invite you to sign up for weekly by clicking here.
I hope you’ll benefit from the time you spend here.
